Dans ce deuxième projet, les images sont aussi issues d’une performance collaborative avec un réseau neuronal (IA Stable diffusion XL) auquel a été soumis en continu le même prompt pendant plusieurs semaines consécutives sans discontinuer. Ce projet est issu de la sélection de 80 images parmi les milliers générées.
Le prompt (volontairement très vague) est constitué des mots récurrents : Jouer avec John Baldessari, + variables ( d’objets, de formes, de fond…), ce qui oriente l’IA à produire d’improbables images. Cette collaboration (avec diverse personnes de mon entourage) a consisté à jouer avec les images en les associant ou pas, en les clonant parfois pour créer des séquences d’action, de performance, puis en leur mettant en miroir par l’échange, par le jeu du cadavre exquis un mot, une phrase, provocant ainsi un deuxième déplacement de leur signifiant (Prompt/image puis image/texte) en écho aux expériences du rapport “texte / image“ de John Baldessari..

In this second project, the images are also the result of a collaborative performance with a neural network (IA Stable diffusion XL) to which the same prompt was continuously subjected for several consecutive weeks without interruption. This project is based on the selection of 80 images from the thousands generated.
The (deliberately vague) prompt consists of the recurring words: Playing with John Baldessari, + variables ( of objects, shapes, background…), which directs the AI to produce improbable images. This collaboration (with various people around me) consisted in playing with images, associating them or not, sometimes cloning them to create sequences of action or performance, then mirroring them through exchange, through the exquisite cadaver game, a word, a phrase, thus provoking a second displacement of their signifier (Prompt/image then image/text), echoing John Baldessari’s experiments with the “text/image” relationship…
